STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 1ST JUN 2012
STOCK MARKET CALLS
BSE Small-Cap index was down 1.22% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 1.46% down.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was down 1.64% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 1.56%. The SENSEX closed 253 points down at 15,965 and the NIFTY stood at 4841, down by 82 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in red and extended the fall for second consecutive session on FRIDAY after TECHNOLOGY and UTILITIES stocks took a heavy fall over the index. It’s been a rough starting for JUNE series as NIFTY fell by 84 points on the session as traded over weaker global sentiments. Reports over monsoon rains to be delayed by four days to Indian mainland dented the sentiments. Negative opening of European markets also fuelled the fire. However ASIAN PAINTS, CAIRNS and SIEMENS led the rally and took a heavy fall while ITC, GAIL and SUNPHARMA capped the losses.

ITC changed 2.27% with 67, 54,264 volumes
GAIL changed 1.62% with 29, 34,741 volumes
SUNPHARMA changed 0.36% with 6, 84,883 volumes


Nifty Losers

Today’s nifty top losers were
ASIANPAINT with volume 1, 59,940 and changed -6.13%
CAIRNS with volume 31, 57,040 and changed -5.57%
SIEMENS with volume 1, 72,000 and changed -5.43%
