Market continues to decline: Udayan Mukherjee

CNBC - Managing Editor, Udayan Mukherjee -18 TV on Thursday that the market has seen a disappointing session.Rs strongly in support of RBI since returning to the market went up but could not stop.

Udayan Mukherjee, the Indian money market for the last few trading sessions are not. Global markets are visible in the flat position. The market anticipates that the next few sessions will continue falling.

STOCK MARKET REVIEW: 10TH MAY 2012

BSE Small-Cap index was up down 0.24% while the BSE Mid-Cap index finished 0.06% up.CNX MIDCAP 50 index was up 0.11% and S&P CNX 500 was down around 0.10%. The SENSEX closed 60 points down at 16,420 and the NIFTY stood at 4965, down by 10 points.

BSE SENSEX and NIFTY traded in a volatile session on THURSDAY and ended almost flat ahead of four consecutive falls as markets driven by weaker global sentiments. Though markets opened in green with a good rebound over appreciation of the Rupee, but all gains erased in later hours of trading as weaker European markets in the afternoon added the losses. Falls were led by Auto, banking and metal stocks as Auto major MARUTI, HEROMOTO, and Banking major PNB and SBIN ended in red while downside was limited by OIL & GAS stocks as CAIRNINDIA and BPCL ended with 4% and 2.60% gains respectively.

IDFC changed 2.78% with 1, 48, 59,618 volumes

BPCL changed 2.62% with 6, 63,060 volumes

MARUTI with volume 4, 15,223 and changed -3.54%

JINDALSTEEL with volume 18, 02,627 and changed -3.46%

RANBAXY with volume 15, 00,149 and changed -3.12%
